Suffolk Community Foundation funded us to provide one year of 6 weeks programmes called Easy Peasy Pods.  This enabled us to set up a home learning environment through books and activities to support young and vulnerable mums and their babies.


West Suffolk successful in £250,000 bid to reduce rough sleeping

A West Suffolk initiative to help reduce rough sleeping in the area and better support people in preventing them from returning to the streets, has been awarded nearly £250,000 in Government funding after a successful bid.


New YMCA Trinity Group Childcare setting opens in Ipswich

YMCA Trinity Group’s newest childcare setting, YMCA Childcare Providence located on Wellington Street in Ipswich, is now open and caring for children aged 0-12 years old. Parents are invited to visit with their child or children for a Stay and Play session 10am – 1pm on Saturday 16 June.


Quality Standards in Recruiting School Based Counsellors

The UK Government has recently published a Green Paper on Transforming children and young people’s mental health provision in England which recognises the “vital role” that schools can play in identifying and supporting young people experiencing problems. However, despite the expectation set out in the Department for Education’s Blueprint for Counselling in Schools, there has still been no progress towards providing a counsellor for every school in England.


YMCA Trinity Group’s ‘Sleep Easy’ event raises over £13,000 for young, homeless people

Local people helped to raise over £13,000 for YMCA Trinity Group at its annual ‘Sleep Easy’ event which took place on Friday 9th March 2018.
