The transition to independent living is challenging for anyone, and there are some instances where more support is needed for a young person.
Our accommodation at The Cresset is available for people who need this additional support.
There are two types of accommodation available at The Cresset:
1. Self-contained studio flats, which all benefit from ensuite facilities.
2. Licensed flats, where residents have access to their own room, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
There are 61 self-contained flats available and 28 licensed flats. Residents will initially be placed in licensed accommodation, and as they develop their confidence and life skills, they will be empowered to move into more independent living within the building.
To support residents with gaining confidence and life skills, they will be assigned a Key Worker. Their Key Worker will help identify their needs and guide them through a support plan, as well as provide practical advice and assistance on important skills, such as budgeting and seeking employment.
On site, residents can take advantage of several amenities, such as a gym and computer suite. There are also washing machines and dryers supplied, which residents can use at a subsidised rate.
