This workshop is for adults working directly with children and young people. It explores how attachment and trauma can impact on a child’s ability to learn. As it builds on a foundation of attachment knowledge it is useful for delegates to have a basic knowledge of attachment and trauma. Delegates will leave with practical strategies to use in their setting.
Course Summary
Delivered by mental health professionals, this two hour workshop provides delegates with both an overview of attachment and trauma research and strategies that can be used to help children with emotional, behavioural or social difficulties which interfere with their learning. Delegates will leave with practical strategies firmly rooted in the research of attachment theory and in tried and tested practice.
