At YMCA Childcare Providence we provide nursery places for children in Ipswich between the ages of three-months and five years-old. We also provide a range of out-of-school and holiday clubs for children up to the age of 12 years-old.
Providence is split into 3 large rooms, with each room catering specifically to children at different stages of development:
- Babies (0-2 years)
- Toddlers (2-3 years)
- Preschool (3-5 years)
Each room provides your child with fun and stimulating activities suitable for their age group.
They also have their own wet play area, bathrooms and changing areas. There is also access to a free flow garden where your child
can play, learn, and explore with others from different age groups.

YMCA Childcare Providence is open daily from 8am – 6pm, offering a range of sessions and clubs to support local needs. We feel our prices offer outstanding value for the quality of our nurseries and support provided.
Support and funding may also be available to cover some of the costs of childcare, and we encourage you to read our Childcare Funding page, or contact our childcare team for more information.

Meals
Parents and carers can provide their own packed lunches, or YMCA Childcare Providence can provide breakfast, lunch, and tea for a small additional cost.

- Tea – £2.40
Government funded hours can be used with any sessions, including bolt on times.
All meals must be booked one week in advance. Last minute bookings are subject to availability. Children are also able to provide their own packed lunch. We offer a 10% sibling discount for nursery and holiday club sessions. The 10% discount is applied to the oldest child’s booking. Voluntary consumable fee £15 per term (up to 15 hrs per week) and £30 per term (up to 30 hrs per week).
