YMCA Ipswich held this years Talent show on the 22nd of December in the HUB.
There were some amazing performances from the young people and the staff including:
- Singing Acts
- Dancing acts
- Open house challenges
- A puppet show
- Balloon molding
- A Stand-up comedian
On the day we had two hosts, a DJ, and a panel of Judges. The Judges graded each act from 1-3 (Strictly Come Dancing style) the winner of YMCA’s Got Talent 2023 was………MAZIE from Parent and Child accommodation who sang ‘Another love by Tom O’Dell’ beautifully. Each resident and staff member that took part in the show received a personalized medal.
We also had our raffle draw during the afternoon which was organized by Lou our Senior Receptionist who sorted some amazing prizes. Lou had two young people supporting her to draw the numbers on the day! YMCA would like to thank all of the organisations that kindly donated for our raffle which included:

Once the show had finished, we all enjoyed a lovely buffet with the items for the buffet being kindly donated by ASDA at Stoke Park and Co-Op in Lavenham.
YMCA would like to thank Teresa Davidson (Community Champion at ASDA Stoke Park), Mary Atkins (C0-Op Pioneer for Great Cornard and Lavenham) and Kim (Community Champion Tesco Copdock).
Thanks also go to Saj (HRS team member) for cooking and organizing all of the food on the day and Jade (UASC team member) for running the Tuck Shop on the day!
In the early evening we had members of the Bethel Church in Ipswich come along to the HUB to being some festive cheer and sung some traditional Christmas carols. We would like to thank the Bethel Church for coming along and delivering an amazing performance on the day!
To conclude, we feel YMCA Ipswich definitely does have TALENT!
The day was a real success and all attendees thoroughly enjoyed the day and we are hoping to make this a YMCA tradition, bring on YMCA’s got talent 2024!….
