On 26th July staff and young people from the YMCA held a sports day over at Christchurch Park.
It was a really fun day and everyone who came along had lots of fun participating in different events. They were split into teams for the HRS/P&C provision, CYPS provision and UASC provision.
Staff and young people participated in:
- tug of war
- sack race
- 3-legged race
- water bucket race
- egg & spoon race
- sprinting races.
They also had a picnic to rest and refresh after joining in with all of the fun.
It was a great day had by all and lots of prizes were given out to the winners of each event with The HRS team coming out as overall winners for the day due to winning the most events and took home the Sports Day 2023 Cup.
All of the residents and staff had a brilliant day and it was lovely to see how we all integrated together as one.
Due to the success of this event we are looking at running this annually and we look forward to seeing who will be the winners of the ‘Sports Day 2024 Cup’!
