Job Role


This is a hands-on maintenance supervisor role, necessitating good communication skills and the ability to lead and supervise a small team of staff thereby assisting in the provision of a warm, caring and safe environment for young people, employees, volunteers, clients and user groups.


Applicants should have the following qualities:

  • A good general education and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with young people in a non-judgemental and non-discriminatory way
  • Be able to demonstrate empathy with the aims and purposes of the YMCA
  • As this role requires occasional multi-site working, it is essential that the post holder holds a current driving licence.

Days and Hours


40 hours per week – 5 days of 8-hour shifts. A typical day would usually be worked no earlier than 7.00am and finish no later than 18.00pm. Start and finish times will be discussed and agreed between Maintenance Supervisor and Line Manager.

Salary and Benefits


In return, we offer an annual salary of £26,104 per year (£12.55 per hour), additional benefits we offer include:
