Due to internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity for a new Apprentice Early Years Assistant to join our friendly team in Ipswich. Working at YMCA Childcare Providence, this vacancy is for 30 hours per week, to be worked all year round.

Our provision delivers high quality care and education to children aged 3 months -12 years.  YMCA Childcare is fast expanding so this is a fantastic opportunity to learn about childcare and work alongside knowledgeable and experienced staff.

You will gain hands on experience of working with children and have the support you need to complete your studies.


Applicants should have the following qualities:


  • Be able to work on your own initiative
  • Have good people skills
  • Be approachable and friendly
  • Able to receive feedback positively
  • Have good basic IT skills
  • Be fun and outgoing


Days and hours


This role is for 30 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday (9am – 4pm).


Salary and benefits


In return, we offer a salary of £7550 per year. Additional benefits include:
